Our History
In 1996, we began reaching out to kids in the neighborhood schools and families in the low-income housing developments of our community through a partnership with UYI.
Through our outreach efforts, many have joined churches, showed academic and behavioral improvements and began living healthier lifestyles.
In May of 2007, Y-MOT was incorporated as a 501(c)3 non-profit charitable organization.
We believe that our purpose in life is to minister to the unchurched youth in the community.
We are faithfully using the gifts, talents and resources that we have been blessed with in order to make a difference in the lives of at-risk youth that we encounter on a daily basis.
With the favor of God and the help of faithful supporters Y-MOT is implementing it's strategic growth plan and vision to further evangelize, disciple and empower urban youth throughout the 38109 zip code and it's surrounding areas.
We are also developing plans to expand the programs throughout the greater Memphis area.
